Chair's New Year Update
Whether through church carol services or collections, school fundraising, donating Christmas fair proceeds or giving an annual or one off donation, so many people across the region have donated to BCC this Christmas.
Since March 2011, BCC has allocated a total of over £26,000 in grants. This equates to more than 45 beds, 30 sets bedding, 14 wardrobes and 20 chests of drawers, 60 school trips, 15 pairs of shoes, 20 contributions towards family holidays, activities and days out for almost 100 children, as well as £1,545 worth of clothing and presents for the 75 young carers in the region. over Scotland got together at Kelso’s Roxburghe Hotel for a golf day that

July 2011: Cycling for charity reaches new heights
A Galashiels dad has raised money for Borders children by cycling one of the toughest stages of the Tour de France. Father-of-two Richard Moore has been training for 19 months to take on the 130-mile closed-road section in the Massif Central and in doing so, he raised over £2,000 for Borders Childrens’ Charity. June 2011: Mad… for money
Borders man
Christopher Godfrey-Faussett created the MadHaT Challenge with the aim of
raising money for good causes including the Borders Childrens’ Charity. It was
an almighty challenge with an almighty financial result – some £28,000. Read the

May 2011: Book Festival Bonus
Lashings of rain
couldn’t dampen the spirits of the Border Children’s Charity volunteers who
received a welcome bonus of over £1,000 at this year’s Borders Book Festival.
